Storage and Distribution are important activities in the integrated supply chain management of pharmaceutical and FMCG products that involves various members responsible for the handling. The workshop will go over the GDP guidelines, that are put to ensure the quality and identity of pharmaceutical products and FMCG during the whole distribution process. Furthermore, it sets out appropriate steps to assist in fulfilling the responsibilities involved in the different aspects of the distribution process within the supply chain and to avoid the introduction of counterfeits products into the marketplace via the distribution chain. The Lebanese guidelines are issued, according to the guidelines and instructions of the World Health Organization, by the Lebanese Ministry of Health, which stresses the importance of adhering to it by all parties involved in any aspect of the distribution of products, as relevant to the particular role that they play, from the premises of the manufacturer of the product to the person dispensing or providing pharmaceutical products and FMCG directly to a patient/client or his agent.

 

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of workshop trainees will:

  • have the confidence to outline the main GDP requirements related to premises, equipment and personnel
  • get familiar with the principles of the GDP quality system and quality management, all the aspects of the transportation of medicinal products and the important procedures when dealing with complaints and recalls
